In 1972 began the operations of the representative
office of The Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co.,
Ltd., as reinsurer, providing services to different
Japanese investors established in Mexico.
Tokio Marine Compañía de Seguros, S.A. de C.V.
was founded in November 10th 1994, with the following
operations and lines of business.
Individual.
In 1996, important in-bond manufacturing plants
known world wide allowed Tokio Marine Compañía de
Seguros to expand his market.
The Japanese quality in insurance for our customers
permitted us the opening of the office in Tijuana,
Baja California.
In 1997, the Aguascalientes Office was opened
to mainly assist our large automobile assembler
customers and the component suppliers connected
therewith.
In 2001 the Monterrey Office is opened to attend
the non-Japanese business sector operating as assumed
reinsurance.
In 2004, TMX started non-Japanese market operations
as direct insurance; the domestic sales area was
established, and dedicated its operations exclusively
to this type of customers.
In February 2005, the risk prevention department
in fire and transportation was established in order
to give support to our customers in the process
of risk prevention.
